MVOC is able to offer limited one-time financial assistance to veterans, and veteran family members, in need. Each type of financial assistance is generally around to $500 per program, per veteran but exceptions may be made to that amount. Applicants must live in the state of Massachusetts.
Eligible programs included:
- Arrears and Rental Deposit Assistance
- Utilities Assistance (to include water, gas, and electric bills as well as solar panel loan arrears)
- Moving Assistance (for veterans that have recently been approved for permanent housing and need funds to rent a moving truck or for a moving company)
- Housing Settlement Assistance (for veterans that have recently moved in to permanent housing and need funds to purchase housewares, furniture, etc.)
- Medical Expense Assistance (for veterans that have recently encountered unexpected medical bills)
