Thanks to the efforts of local non-profit GAAMHA, veterans and military families throughout North Central Massachusetts will be able to receive free Christmas trees this holiday season!

GAAMHA President and CEO Shawn Hayden with MVOC Executive Director Stephanie Marchetti and at the GAAMHA Director of Communication & Development James Hunt at the Tree Farm open day event
For the past 6 months GAAMHA has been hard at work fundraising for this new initiative, garnering enough donations to provide 40 veteran and military families with a free tree of any size this holiday season. Veterans can obtain vouchers for trees at the MVOC’s headquarters or by presenting at the farm with proof of veteran status. The farm is located on Route 140 at 827 Green Street and is open from 11-8 daily.
The farm is open to everyone, run by volunteers from GAAMHA’s programs, and each tree sold helps to support the rescue animals that live on the farm. There are trees from 3 feet to 7 feet tall, Balsam Firs to Frasers, and they’ve all been imported from Nova Scotia!
