Volunteer opportunities are often available:
Van Drivers – Drive veterans to scheduled appointments and activity programs in a company Mini-van. Valid Massachusetts driver’s license required. Clean driving record. Must be at least 21.
Handyman – Help maintain our housing and outreach facilities by performing low-level interior and exterior maintenance and repairs. Must have some demonstrated handyman/maintenance experience or qualifications. A valid MA driver’s license and clean driving record very helpful. Snow removal experience also a plus.
Activities / Administrative Support- Seeking those who would like to assist existing activities programming or aid in everyday or special event administrative tasks. Use of office equipment and computer skills are helpful. Good communication and people skills required.
All Volunteers must complete an application, provide references, pass a security / criminal background check, and meet client privacy/confidentiality requirements.

The goal of the Montachusett Veterans Outreach Center is to provide quality services to all eligible veterans regardless of when, where, and how long they served. The MVOC will continue to advocate for equal rights for veterans with respect to housing, health care, and education and career training. The MVOC provides support to military veterans and their families in need of services to develop a resilient, self-sufficient lifestyle essential to succeed in today’s social environment. The MVOC is 501(c)3 private, non-profit organization, not directly affiliated with any government agency.

The Veterans’ Walk is located on the northeast side of the Montachusett Veterans Outreach Center in downtown Gardner, Massachusetts. Proceeds generated from the commemorative brick project support MVOC programs serving veterans and their families.
